American stoner metal pioneers The Sword are returning to Europe this summer, and that means a stop in the capital and at Slaktkyrkan on June 26th. With iconic albums like “Age of Winters” and “Warp Riders”, the band redefined classic stoner rock and gave it a much-needed facelift with ingredients of metal, doom and icy heavy metal. The Sword quickly made a name for themselves in all corners of the world and after endless touring, they decided to put the band on ice. In 2024, they decided to let the ice thaw and the band took to the stages again during a few well-chosen nights. Now in 2025, The Sword is finally returning to Europe for a handful of dates, and this will be a dear reunion of one of rock’s most interesting and heaviest names.
